Shopkeepers of Leominster

Shopkeepers 2008

These images are from a project celebrating the diversity of independent shops in my hometown of Leominster. I was asked to put together an exhibition of photographs to be shown at Leominster Library in May 2008 as part of ‘Leominster Festival’. I chose this subject as I appreciated the number of high quality independent shops that we had, and to this day, still have. As of 2018 Leominster still seems to be bucking the trend with fewer empty town centre shops than in other market towns.
